spraWIEN is a transdisciplinary conference at the University of Vienna without a fixed thematic focus. It offers students, graduates and all those interested the opportunity to present their work from all areas of linguistics and related disciplines. You can give a presentation based on a seminar paper, bachelor’s, master’s, diploma or doctoral thesis, as well as any other topics of current interest.
The presentation should last 20 minutes and will be followed by a five-minute discussion. It can be given in German or English.
The abstract should fulfill the following criteria:
- include the title, subtitle, author’s name, e-mail address, and institutional affiliation (e.g. Center for Translation Studies, University of Vienna);
- contain approximately five keywords related to the topic and methodology. One of the keywords should indicate the relevant sub-discipline, such as:
- Applied Linguistics
- General Linguistics
- Historical Linguistics
- Cognitive Linguistics
- etc.
- be submitted in .doc or .docx format;
- not exceed 300 words;
- be written in German or English.
